Run for all at Exen

Exen’s supported charity for 2015 is the Jane Tomlinson Appeal and for our first fundraising event of the year, 4 of the team will be running the Run For All Leeds Half Marathon on May 10th.

Jane Tomlinson CBE, a mother of 3 from Leeds, raised £1.85 million for charity by completing a series of incredible athletic challenges, despite suffering from terminal cancer, and inspired thousands with her courage and determination. Since her death the Appeal that she founded has announced a new fundraising target of £5million and as of February 2015 £7.6 million had been raised.

The Exen team will be made up of Julie Orme, Pavels Rusovs, Niall Staward and Graham Moore. As the old man of the team, Managing Director Graham Moore says he was initially taken by surprise by the suggestion, but peer pressure had its effect. “I had in mind that as a group we might enter for a 5k run or maybe even 10k during the year, so I was a little taken back when the team decided our number 1 event would by a team half marathon. But it’s all for a very good cause and actually might end up doing me some good as well”

The team’s fundraising page can be found here and all contributions are very much welcomed and appreciated.
